Tiny Tots Program

Where the love for soccer begins

Program structure - Stations Rotation: Sessions designed and delivered through a fun warmup, 8-10 minutes activities with three-station rotations targeting aspects of physical literacy (basic motor skills, coordination) and soccer skills (simple ball interaction drills) to end up with a cool down in a positive, play-based environment.

  • Parents and coaches are encouraged to promote social interactions between all the children and parents. The importance of young players, coaches and parents to observe and follow the sequence of each station is crucial to help players flow through with ease, ‘no lost sheep’.
  • The activities presented have been generated to reflect the essence and understanding of the Canada Soccer’s Long Term Player Development model: https://canadasoccer.com/play-landing/canada-soccer-pathway/

Eligibility: Male and Female, 3 & 4 years old.

Community Program

Community Program

Play. Learn. Grow together.

Program structure: Ensuring players to have fun on the field with soccer while also providing exposure to fundamental skills, training, and principles of teamwork, such as sportsmanship and respect for other players, coaches, officials, and parents.

  • Wednesday Stations Sessions: QYSA’s Technical Director facilitates stations rotation but also we ask for your support and co-operation as volunteer coach to help, supervise, and support the players as possible.
  • Saturday Game Sessions: Players will be assigned to teams and will compete against different teams as it will be outlined in the program schedule available prior to the start date. Games will have Game Leaders (volunteer parents) who will support each team.

Guidelines for Players and Parents:

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes earlier for any practice or game, then the players and teams can be ready to start on time.

  • Parents or designated adult must stay at practices and games to supervise their player in case an issue arises.

QYSA is largely run by volunteer members. Please consider participating for a few hours as a Game Leader on Wednesdays and/or Saturdays. Stations and Games run smoother with adult guidance.

Eligibility: Male and Female, 5 - 18 years old.

Strikers Program

Strikers Program

For players who want to go beyond.

Program structure: Tailored for players who exhibit a strong desire, commitment, and willingness to engage in a more developmental and competitive soccer experience aligned with Canada Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development Model (LTPD), aiming to foster the growth of young athletes.

All participants will be placed on teams based on age and gender, and will be assigned to a dedicated Head Coach who will guide their progress throughout the program.

This program emphasizes friendly matches and encourages participation in various tournaments to provide players with valuable in-game experience.

  • Tuesday Stations Sessions: Focusing on individual player technical soccer skills, fitness training, and personal growth.
  • Thursday Head Coaches Sessions: Head Coach Sessions bring the team together each week to work on growth and development in areas of game play, positioning, and teamwork.

Strikers program is designed for players seeking a higher level of challenge and development focusing on technical skill progression, tactical understanding, decision-making, and game awareness in a structured training environment. Also, players are encouraged to push their limits while developing discipline, accountability, and teamwork. This program bridges the gap between recreational soccer and high-performance pathways, preparing players for more advanced levels of play.

Strikers reflect QYSA’s commitment to long-term player development and creating opportunities for motivated athletes to reach their potential.

Eligibility: Male and Female, 9 - 18 years old.
